About Newrole

Newrole is an engineering-first team focused on AI compliance and delivery. We help product and engineering teams assess EU AI Act & GDPR exposure, turn findings into an implementation plan, and ship the controls that make audits and enterprise launches smoother.

Built by engineers

Built by engineers (not a legal blog)

We’re a small team of senior engineers and product builders who ship software in production - including AI systems and data-heavy applications.

Our focus is practical compliance: we map real data flows, identify the risk drivers that matter, and turn findings into an implementation-ready plan (docs, controls, tickets).

  • Engineering-first, not paperwork-first
  • EU AI Act + GDPR lens, grounded in real system architecture
  • Clear outputs: risk profile, docs, backlog of actions

We don’t provide legal advice - we help teams prepare, validate, and implement.

Team & delivery track record

Newrole is a small, senior team covering product and engineering end-to-end - from discovery and architecture to delivery and long-term support. Our team brings together Product Owners, CTO-level leadership, Solution Architects, Senior Software Developers, Business Analysts, and AI Engineers.

On average, our specialists bring over a decade of hands-on experience, having worked on systems operating in regulated, high-scale, and data-sensitive environments.

We’ve contributed to projects across a wide range of domains, including high-load media platforms, fintech and mobile applications, cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP, AI-powered systems and CRMs, e-commerce platforms, healthcare and HR products, and blockchain-based applications.

This background matters because effective AI compliance and governance depend on understanding real system architecture - not abstract checklists.

How we work

1
Assess
Clarify what the system does, where AI is used, and the most likely risk drivers.
2
Map
Create an AI system map + GDPR data-flow view (training → inference → logs → vendors).
3
Plan
Deliver an actionable plan: documentation, controls, owners, and a prioritized backlog.
4
Implement
Ship the controls with your team (or ours): oversight, logging, monitoring, incident handling.

What you get

  • Risk profile (EU AI Act lens) + key drivers
  • GDPR exposure map (touchpoints across training, inference, outputs, and logs)
  • AI system documentation starter pack (customer-facing + internal)
  • Control plan (tickets-ready): oversight, monitoring, logging, vendor considerations
  • Clear next steps: DIY / audit / implementation support

FAQ

Is this legal advice?
No. We provide technical and operational support for AI governance and compliance preparation. For formal legal advice, you should consult qualified counsel.
Do you build software too?
Yes. We also deliver software engineering on an outsourcing basis - not only AI. Many clients ask us to implement the controls and workflows recommended during an audit.
Do you do PoCs?
We can, but our primary focus is shipping production-ready systems and making them audit-ready. If you need a PoC, we’ll position it as a step toward deployment, not an experiment.

Start with clarity

Most teams begin with a quick risk assessment, then proceed to an audit if needed.
